HEALTHY LIVING - WALKING

Grant Hume started walking to try and get more mobility. He had been stuck in the house and in a rut and needed to do something. He got involved in a walking group in his area and it has made a huge difference to his life.

Danny McHugh lost his wife very suddenly and joined a walking group to meet new people. He argues that it's great for fitness but also for your social life.

Marjie Dick had been suffering from depression and joined a walking group through her daughter's school. It has changed her life. She walks everywhere now and encourages everyone to start walking. She is much happier now and has more energy.

Kathryn Sinclair talks about the benefits of walking to and from work.

Elaine Sheerin talks about the Gorbals Safer Routes Project and how people within the community are enjoying the social and physical benefits of walking in groups.
